Leinenkugels Harvest Patch Shandy

Leinenkugels Harvest Patch Shandy
Pours hazy bright golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, spices, and lemon notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness and slight lemon tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, wheat, cracker, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Good robustness and balance of pale malt, spices, and lemon flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a nice spiced shandy style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt, spices, and lemon flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Schlafly Oatmeal Stout

Schlafly Outmeal Stout.

Schlafly Oatmeal Stout is a super-dark brown ale. This classic British-style beer features roasted barley and oatmeal, lending aromatic coffee and raisin notes. This medium-bodied stout is built on a base of North American malted barley and oats for smoothness and sweetness. The hop bitterness balances the sweetness of the malt and oats. While most stouts I have tried are usually heavy in texture I have to say that this particular one is rather light in body and smooth in texture flowing easily.

to be completely honest for me this brew is rather to light for my liking and I would prefer if it were a bit heavier in body and texture but over all it is a pleasant drink to have when ever your having dinner or sitting down to relax.

Samuel Adams Rebel IPA

So the other day I took one of my lady friends out to eat and we ended up at T.G.I. Fridays as I began to check out their drink specials I ran across this the Samuel Adams Rebel IPA; and if you have been a reader of my blog for a while now you should know that I love my IPA's so I go ahead and order up our food and of course my drink. Finally my drink gets there and I couldn't have been happier with it. Now knowing that this beer came on tap made me even happier because I prefer the tap to a bottle or can.

 Score.
1-20
Aroma: Notes on Hop & malt scents, alcohol plus esters and other nuances
I would say that I would score this wonderful brew at least an 18. The Hoppiness of this beer was quite pleasing and had sort of citrus taste to it, it was slightly malty but had such a wonderful taste and aroma.

Appearance: Notes on color, clarity, color of head texture and retention.

I think this brew had such a wonderful golden / orange tint to it with and the clarity of it was perfect.
It danced it around on my tongue for a few minuets before gulping it and I couldn't believe how perfectly smooth it was with just the right amount of bitterness to it. It was cold and refreshing just the way I like it and went perfect with my meal.

Over all impression - Notes on stylistic accuracy, intangible qualities, general drinking experience, areas of improvement.

Overall I would have to say I was pleased with this one and that this was my first time trying it. Every part of this beer was awesome and is the quality type of beer that always comes from the great people of the Boston Beer Company, you guys keep pushing out great quality beer.

Springfield Brewing Company / Hop Lobster Red Ale

Ever wonder what beer you would choose if stranded on a desert island? Hop Lobster was brewed just for that occasion. with a blend of Pale and crystal malts, and Cascade and Centennial hops are the key ingredients to this ruby-red ale. If you ever find yourself in my town Stop by the local Brown Derby Liquor store and pick some up! This brew is so smooth and does not leave a bad after taste and the aroma God the aroma is beautiful! Not to mention that the bitterness of this brew is perfect too, it goes down so easy and has a nice almost silky feel to it. Thanks SBC for producing some of Springfield's finest quality brews around. Just know I love your beer and will always be a faithful fan of yours.

Long Strange Tripel / Boulevard Brewing Co. Kansas City Mo.

Long Strange Tripel Belgian - Style Ale from Boulevard Brewing Co. In Kansas City. Mo

Though on my list of favorite Ales of all time this does make the top 20 but definitely falls short of my top 10 all time favs. Though this Ale is robust in flavor I find that it does lack a hoppy-ness to it which I look forward in a good brew. Not to say that it taste bad in anyway as a matter of fact it is quit palatable and leaves a nice fruity after taste dancing around on your tongue, it almost has a raisin taste and is quiet floral and citrous like; also the fragrance of it is quiet soothing however this beer tends to lose head very quickly and I'm the type who likes to go into my drink nose first because it gives me a preview of whats coming next.

The Alc/Vol on this particular beer is a 9.2% and comes in this beautifully designed pint bottle for those who don't know pints that is 9.4 fluid ounces.

Samuel Adams New World

I will start this review off by saying that I spent $10 on this wonderful Tripel Ale, and you know what I am happy I did this one bottle alone is worth every penny of it. this beer has some serious attitude but is meant to be sipped like a fine wine it has hints of spices and Tropical fruits infused into it, and is by far the best of the best that the good people at Sam Adams has to offer from the Barrel Room collection. My first impression of this beer would be the aroma, lightly hopped and slightly sweet, to that just right point where any Beerenthusiast would surely fall in love with it just by the aroma it gives off; this beer bottle is a 9.4 FL OZ and at a 10% ALC/VOL it is well to say that this is in my top 5 categories for the Boston Beer Company. New World is by far one of those that you will remember your whole life if you try it and you will never forget the experience. On the Pallet you get on the tip of your tongue the sweetness of the beer while catching the bitter goodness of the Hops as it hits the back of you tongue. IF YOU HAVEN'T TRIED THIS BEER YET I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT, YOU WILL NOT BE LET DOWN.
