Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale

Ok okay, so I know that I am going on a blue moon kick right now but hey what can I say BM makes great quality beer, so why I am sitting here drinking this one right now I decided to jot a few lines down, this beer is more like your traditional ale's lighter in taste than the last BM beer I had but still just that right amount of flavor with roasted malts and a hint of Belgian sugar, also a slight hint of wheat for caramel flavoring, this beer is perfect for those long winter days when your at home and not really looking to get out. Crack one of these fill your glass and enjoy. Thank you again Blue Moon! On my personal rating scale of 1 to 10 I think this one falls into the 8 category.

Blue Moon Spiced Amber Ale

Ah, blue moon we meet again..this time with their Spiced Amber Ale. Testing first the aroma of this beer I instantly fell in love knowing what was coming next I tilted my glass and swished the brew around on my tounge taking in all the flavors of the moment at first I tasted a hint of what I belived to be a raisen flavor intermingled with caramel and cinnamon letting it bounce around in my mouth for a little bit more enjoying the moment it was if little angles with golden shoes were dancing on my tounge. The color of this wonderfully crafted beer was a deep amber red that played in the light. with a lightly yellow head. Thank you Blue Moon you never cease to amaze me. On my personal rating scale of a 1 to 10 this one is a sure fire 10! +

Ichabod Pumpkin Ale / New Holland Brewing

The light golden brown color of this beer is b-e-a-utiful and the aroma, intoxicating the taste, the most balanced pumpkin ale I have ever had, NHB has truely hit this nail right on the head this beer is the perfect beer for any fall occasion, the spices in this one are spectacular. New Holland my hats off to you good job. On my personal rating scale of 1 to 10 this one gets a 10!

Mothers Old School Oktoberfest

The only word that could come to mind with this drink from Mothers Brewing was WOW! this beer is just as good as Samuel Adams Octoberfest and packs the same seasonal punch. Mothers Brewing I salute you once again for putting out another instant classic this beer tickled the inside of my mouth and had an excellent smell thank you Mothers, I wish more people around the world had a chance to try your brews. on my 1 to 10 personal taste scale I give this one a hands down 10!

Founders Breakfast Stout

Founders Breakfast Stout

Trying this for the first time last night, I was not ready for the taste though. This beer is good for the morning time with a strong blast of coffe flavoring but for me the coffe flavoring was a little much but if you like to get your morning off to a good start then this may be your drink. Also there are hints of chocolate flavoring in this beer. This is the first beer that I have had from founders but im going to be honest here...it could have been better sorry Founders on my personal rating scale of 1 to 10 I would have to give this one a 4 for its over all flavoring. :(

Three Blind Mice / Mothers Brewing

Although this is not my personal fav from Mothers located in my town of Springfield, MO I still feel the need to let the public know that it is a quality beer, with a dark rich and bold flavor; this beer is worth a try. Now with that being said this one may not be for everyone but I did myself enjoy it. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this beer a 5. Keep up the good work Mothers Brewing Co. Keep em' coming.

Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale

 

With a dark Amber color and a scent of Caramel and apples I can say I was not really ready for the robust taste that this wit beer had to offer. As soon as it hit all of my senses I can say that I felt as if I were had died and gone to Heaven. Now with the Caramel being the main scent and flavor of this beer it is by no means over powering as is balanced well with the other spice of the beer. I would like to thank Blue Moon once again for another great masterpiece! I wish this was not a seasonal beer and all year round. On my personal scale of 1 to 10 I give this great seasoned beer a 7. So cheers to you fellow Beerthusiasts and happy drinking.

 

Stone Smoked Porter

Ah, Stone Brew Co. how do you keep making all of these wonderful tounge tingling mouthgasms? Ok lets get to buisness Stone Brewery is by far my favorite brewing company of all time, these guys are not afraid to push the limits of great craft beer and they continue to amaze me every time they release a new one, I recently tried their Smoked Porter and it literally blew my brains and senses away! With this one you guys really had me speechless at first with its dark flavors and some what Oat flavor. The Hops balace in this one was perfect Stone Brew Co. I salute you on my personal scale of 1 to 10 is ten all the way thanks again for another hit. I hope you guys keep pushing the limits for years to come! and if you dont like Stone Brewing...Epic Fail go back to drinking school lol J/K but seriously folks I suggest this one to all craft beer fans. Once again fill your glassed and cheers, happy drinking Beerthusiasts.

Racer 5 IPA

All right all you IPA lovers if this is a beer you have not tried, its time to man up and get your drink on. This IPA from the Bear Republic Brewing Co. is for the Beer Conissuer and is meant for the great ones with impecable taste buds but trust me this one will blow your mind with it's bold taste. I have the personal honor of thanking my good friend Tanner for introducing me to this one. On my good ol' 1 to 10 Scale this one gets a 9 and a half! So go fill up your glasses and happy drinking my fellow Beerthusiast!

Mr. Pumpkin / Mothers Brewing Company

Now avalible in stores Mr. Pumpkin from Mothers Brewing Co. located in my city of Springfield, MO. I remember when I first picked up a case of this beer, at first I was a little weary of the idea of pumpkin beer because I had already tried a couple and was not all that pleased with the outcome, but this one I think nailed it right on the head with just the right amount of pumpkin spice it goes down nice and leaves a great after taste that dances around on your tounge. I know that some of you out there may not be much for pumkin beer, but this is one of those must tries but dont take my word for it go out and get some. Mothers I would just like to thank you for this wonderful seasonal beer! On a personal scale of 1 to 10 I give this one a straight 8.

Samuel Adams Octoberfest

 Good Ol' Sammy thank you so much for providing such a mouth watering beer I now know why this beer is an award winner. It really does have a nice smooth but crisp taste too it with a hint of citrus flavor its dark but not to dark coloring is a beautiful relflection of this beer's taste. Suggestion do not drink from a bottle use the proper beer glasses for this one trust me it enhances the flavor so much! Sammy on a 1 to 10 scale I give you a 9! Keep up the good work!

Jesse's Beer Review for The Sixth Glass Quadrupale Ale-Ok where to start on this one? my first word would be Hoppy, yes Hoppy though light in color it is a good strong Ale that I think most any beer drinker or enthusiast must try, it has a unique flavor to me besides the hops that I cant quit pin point but that's ok I enjoyed the beer very much, it is a good one to have over a steak meal or any other sort of red meat meal. Jesse's Beer review on Abbey Belgian Style Ale. - Let me start off by saying, HOLY CRAP, this beer is one of the best beers that I have ever had it is in my top 10 favorite beers. ABSA is one of those beers that you just want to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner! No joke it's that good with it's rich dark brown color however seems a lot more lighter in the sun light. This beer kind of has a peach taste to it but its not overpowering and you can appreciate the beer for its hops taste to. I would recommend this beer to anyone who really has a passion for beer. This beer goes down smooth and stays smooth till the very end, this is one of those must pick up's when you hit your local liquor store. AGAIN THIS IS A MUST! please do try. Jesse's Review on Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale- Starting off I would like to say that this Ale is not for the faint hearted, but being the person I am having a love for hoppy beers I would have to say that this beer is incredible, it has a dark, rich yet smooth body to it, you can really taste the Oak flavor in it and it only gets stronger as you reach the bottom of the bottle. If you are not a fan of hopped up beers then I would recommend that you stay away from this one, however if you are like me and enjoy the bold taste of a darker beer the I suggest picking this one up at your local liquor store and giving it a try, I really enjoyed the refreshing crisp taste that this beer gave me and I plan to drink some more in the near future. The Poet Oatmeal Stout, had a smooth, mellow tone with a hint of sweetness from the Oat the best way I could describe this beer would be delicious. This beer would be a great drink to have with nice red meats, soft-ripened cheeses, chocolate, and mushrooms. This beer is 5.2% Acl by Vol. On a one through five scale rating I would rate this a 5.

Jesse's Beerthusiast Review on "O'fallon's Hemp Hop Rye /Amber Ale"-So here we are on to the next beer, this beer for me although a tad bit more hoppier than what I tend to like was still a good one for me, it has a bold flavor that is not over powering but does leave a bite on your tounge which I actually dont mind. This malt bev. is actually brewed with Hemp Seeds. Not something I really expected but hey I'm always open to try new beer, O'Fallon I give this beer a 4 star rating falling just behind your Smoke Beer. Thanks so much for making great quality beers that I and my friends really enjoy.

Jesse's Blue Moon Belgian White Review

Blue Moon Belgian White though a lighter beer as far as color goes has a big bold and crisp taste to it, with a hint of citrus flavoring from the Valencia orange peel. Belgian White is the perfect blend for a wit beer and I bow down to Brewmaster Keith Villa for perfecting such a craft beer as this one. It also has a hint of Oat for added flavoring, Blue Moon a raise my glass to you and want to thank you for your undying need to make quality craft beer.

On a 1 to 10 Scale I peronally rate this beer at a 10!

If you have never tried this beer I strongly suggest you do...so what are you waiting for go get some.

Jesse's Beerthusiast Review on "O'Fallons Smoke Beer", all I can say was wow, I cannot believe how much I actually enjoyed this beer. O'Fallons I give you 5 stars. I have done my research and mostly I have come across that either you love smoked beer or you hate smoked beer, me personally I am leaning more toward the Love side of it as soon as this beer touched my tounge I was in total heaven, the dark rich taste of this beer was unlike anything that I have ever had but at the same time was not over powering in the least bit. This is the kind of beer that after a long day of hard work, that you just want to crack it open and drink. I highly recommend this beer to anyone plus it won 2004's Gold Medal Winner as the best smoked beer in America, and now I know why. if you have never had a smoked beer before, I suggest starting with this one. Trust me you wont be disappointed

Chris-Shock Top Raspberry Wheat Belgian Style Wheat Ale.
STR. was light, crisp, and refreshing it is a nice summer time Ale to just sit around and cool off. it is a Golden color with a citrus Raspberry taste. Not to strong but not to light, what Goldie Locks would call Just Right. Alc. Content 5.2% 12 FL. OZ.

Jesse-Dragon's Milk Ale / Aged in Oak Barrels
DM is a high gravity beer from New Holland Brewing Company. I have to say my initial thought from tasting the beer was that though it was a dark dark beer, I honestly have to say I enjoyed the full body taste of the beer, swishing it around on my tounge I got to experience all the unique flavors and characteristics of the beer. on the tip of my tounge it was a bit more sweet, with vanilla essence and bitter on the sides of my tounge, but as it hit the back of my tounge it was like a bitter dark chocolate, that finished off nicely and would be great for being outside in the summer time as a nice cool drink but I prefer to drink it slightly warm, because the warmth of the beer really sets off, the Oak Barrel taste that the beer was stored in.
